Your contract was not with Kobo for these books, so I wouldn't expect them to show up on the purchase history as you didn't purchase them from Kobo. When Sony and WH Smith sold/transferred their business to Kobo they just transferred the books you bought not the orders relating to them. Make sure you keep the confirmation emails from Sony so that you can prove where you bought the book in case of any problems.

My reading list has more than twice the number of books as that in my purchase history because I've had books transferred from WH Smith & Sony.
