It makes a certain amount of sense that in books taking place in a different social setting than yours, characters would talk and act differently than what you're used to. And they would probably think that you're weird and something is wrong with you because of the way you talk - and hold your social class against you as a result.
That's just it the books I've started take place in normal setting no different than any other. the heroine isn't any different than say a Harlequin heroine. I don't read stories where say the heroine is drug addict or slut..etc. She suppose to be a good girl and yet talks like a sailor.
