Anyone visited a college lately? The bookstore is far from an anachronism, it is a GIANT CASH COW! It's not about the books, it's about tee shirts and snacks and "oh, I forgot to bring a trash can."

No, college bookstores aren't going away any time soon. One company that knows this, and has bought into the business heavily, is Barnes & Noble. They're on dozens of major college campuses.

This initiative by Amazon is clearly a dagger pointed at B&N's heart.
