Have you heard of Overdrive? 3M Cloud Library is a competitor. You need the 3M Cloud Library app to read ebooks that you have checked out from your local library if they get their books from 3M. That's why it's so ridiculous that they released an update with text resolution that you can't read.

Luckily you can use their desktop software to download Adobe-protected EPUB files and transfer to other compatible devices (such as my Sony Reader or Nook) so there are alternatives.

Number of 1 star reviews keeps growing. Hope they fix it soon!
