well, you only have one day left to decide whether to keep or return the Asus. is it running Lollipop (5.x) yet or still on 4.4.x? there's ways of rooting it, installing 5.x, etc. some people have deleted the extra junk software and are seeing better performance as well.

here's one problem with Android - it's free. this means that ANY hardware manufacturer can toss android onto their device, so having a bad experience with an android tablet has little to do with Android itself, but possibly the hardware. iOS on the other hand is ONLY done by Apple on devices made by Apple, so it's consistent and tighter spec'd (and more $$$).

there's really only one iOS experience - an Apple product.
there's a lot of different Android experiences - high end devices, mid range, and cheap junk. it's not Android's fault if the hardware is crap.
