An update:

If you try to update your T68 Lynx and get the same error I did, here's what you can do. Someone from Arta Tech passed this on to me and it worked for me, at least.

Forst, go to settings-system-power management. You will see three headings: Sleep, Power off timeout, and Network Inactivity Timeout. Click on each one and choose the "never" option. Then, download the update.zip file (if you've already downloaded it before changing these settings, you'll need to delete it and download it after changing these settings) and let your Lynx begin the installation process. It should work this time.

Now, I've been looking for any enhancements. FB Reader does look better, for one. I notice Onyx Neo Reader as a reading app option. I think that is new for the Lynx. Feel free to point out anything else you may notice.

Installing the update made me lose root, but I was able to re-root easily with towelroot v1.

I also have a Boyue T62, and I have found that device more user-friendly. However, the update does seem to make the Lynx looks and work a bit smoother - or is it merely placebo?
