Hi Peter and welcome to the Forum. Used to hail from Bay Ridge but am now in VA. There's bound to be some Kindle owners in your area though who are on the Forum.

We do have MobileRead MeetUps. In fact, we had one here in Northern Virginia a few months back and everyone brought their toys. It was a treat. Anyway, keep posted and perhaps there will be a NYC MeetUp one of these days.
