I hate to ask, but I have a Kobo WIFI N289 that corrupted and I ended up accidentally buying 3 broken Kobo WIFIs a while back on ebay (I won one, and then an auction of 2x broken ones ended with no other bidders) so I recieved 3 KOBO N647s with broken screens and at the time I didn't know there was another model of the WIFI, I was able to get mine running with the SD image from the N647 but wifi does no work as well as my purchased books not being recognized (that I transferred from the KOBO app in Windows) due to not being able to connect to wifi. If anyone could provide me with a N289 factory image I'd be grateful, and I could also provide N647 for anyone who needs it.
