I went back and checked . . . . I bought it December 19 of this past year (2014), for $3.99.
I knew that it almost
had to have been on sale, for me to have bought it. I rarely buy a regularly-priced book of any kind, unless I want it for immediate use. I didn't need this one for any immediate use.
