i'm guessing $1-per-minute? it's typically run through a satellite, and those are $$$$$.
why not - just for this trip - load a bunch of stuff and not worry too much about how to cleanly organize it and have nice summaries? worst case, wife will just have to put the ereader down and talk to you!
