He does seem to have a rather high opinion of his work, doesn't he?

These quotes are similar--or perhaps the same--to some I read after I decided to stop reading his books. They certainly did not make me want to reconsider reading the ones I hadn't already read.

Doesn't he have a habit of disparaging who write less than glowing reviews? Basically they are narrow-minded or simply incapable of appreciating how wonderful his books are? I seem to remember reading about that somewhere ...
