Well, maybe I'll get lucky and the BC Library download site will get it in before I give in to temptation.

If you can hold out until the next coupon contest comes around, and Kobo keeps it at the current competitive-with-iTunes-and-Amazon new release discount price of $10-ish CAD, maybe you'll luck out on a good code and can get it for a lower cost if the BC Library doesn't oblige in time.

But so what - I have to excellent books to read, and I think I'll do the Aaronovitch book, Foxglove Summer, as an audio book first.
Finished and thoroughly enjoyed The King of Shanghai, the latest Ava Lee book from Canadian author, Ian Hamilton. This book is not available in the US Amazon store yet, but is available in the Canadian one, and on Kobo. Another excellent book in this fun series, and actually a definite improvement in a couple of areas that were beginning to bother me. The level of direct, personal violence is down, and the interminable and oft-repeated product placements are way down as well. But even the earlier books were great fun, and this one is even better. This really is one of my top two new finds of 2014.

Next up, #11 in the Campion series, Traitor's Purse. I'm about half way through (had to stop for the Ava Lee), and I'm enjoying it, but it's definitely not the action level of an Ava Lee book.
