The Finite case I recently bought is the first case (on any of my devices, past and present) that I TRULY like and find make the ereader better.

Other cases on past devices I would sometimes find myself taking the ereader out when reading, because it would get in the way. But weirdly, the only times I've ever damaged an ereader was when it was IN the case. (Once just some cosmetic damage to the outer shell, once a cracked screen on an ereader that had fortunately already reached backup status). So I wouldn't overestimate how much protection a case actually supplies.

(I've dropped caseless kindles short distances without problems, except to my heart.)
