I have been out of mobileread/irex forums for a while. And have not been using my Iliad for months now too! Without beeing loaded with optimismn I'm back to paper :-( I just got asked from a collegue (beeing the local ereader expert, with the only one who ever bought one) what ereader model I would suggest.

Now when I left the 1000 was just out of the box, and in a terrific bad release shape. Like low battery life and the such.

Has these issues been adressed yet? Can I advice this device?

At least at the time back then, with seriously low battery life, I would lose my face if I'd advice to buy this device...
