Geez. It makes you wonder, it really does: would you let someone who didn't know where the brake and gas peddles were drive a car? That is pretty much what it is like with so many computer/tablet/smartphone users. They have no idea what they are using... but they want to use it anyway! Thankfully, when they careen off the analogy road they don't end up killing dozens of bystanders: they just frustrate their built-in phone support (the relatives who actually know what the thing is) on which they save tons of money and usually don't realize it.

I turn off all of my tablets at night and turn them back on in the morning. I see no reason to leave it on for 8-10 hours while I sleep.

With my iPad, I almost never have to restart it during actual use. With my Fire tablet... I usually end up restarting it once or twice a day. It takes like 30 whole seconds to do it which is crazy unreasonable! ()

I had to restart my Nexus 7 (2012, the 2013 was quite a bit more stable) frequently as well, but not nearly as frequently as my Fire tablet. The Fire tablet is EASILY the most fragile of the tablets that I have owned over the last few years.
