Bookmarks do not have labels as such. Chapter names are determined by how the book is formatted, many books just label them sequentially.

You can use Notes to label a location that you want to mark. Also on the Paperwhite (I presume on Voyage and new Kindle Touch), if you tap a bookmark in the list, it will bring up a page preview for the page.
