Kovid, is this also necessary for a Windows XP install? I've upgraded Calibre beyond the "single database" a little while ago, but every time I upgrade it again, it still takes over an hour to complete the upgrade process.

I just did a search on my computer and the library1.db file still exists, even though I also have the new library setup. Can I just delete (or rename) the old library1.db file?

I also have the library.db file. Is that different?

Thanks!
