This morning, to my great surprise, I received an email response from the Customer Support inquiry I sent them back on the 18th. Keep in mind, this has been the only response from that inquiry. They said since they had tried unsuccessfully to contact me (an outright lie) they were closing the ticket and considering the matter closed.
WTF?? I replied and said I had been in contact on Facebook and with Christopher. They replied and basically said I was lying. They said they hadnt received any screenshots from me at all.
So I replied and sent more screenshots of the winning messages, as well as screenshots of the Facebook messages and the emails (which showed the screenshots Kobo say I didnt send) from Christopher who said the Kobo's were being sent.
I know by this stage I shouldnt be so shocked at how Kobo works but I am seriously floored by it all, on so many levels.
How can such a huge company have absolutley no idea who wins their prizes and have such appalling records of communications between themselves and their customers?
Kobo have made me feel like a deceitful thief, trying to rob them of free Kobos. Winning the first one was awesome, winning 2 was incredibly exciting, but any joy I had has well and truly been eroded away by Kobo. I am thinking this is their standard business plan - ignore your customers for as long as possible before being blatantly rude in the hopes they will just go away.
I hope other winners are having better luck than me.

I went thru the same thing also just recently when I
TRIED to BUY the Aura ereader on sale at 99.90!! I got an email confirmation following from Kobo, but 5 days later ... no email to confirm that the item was shipped.
So I sent the Kobo's customer service (really!!?? what a misnomer!) a help request, no response for 3 days and after another 2 emails from me and another 4 days later, they finally replied that they have no details of the transaction and that the transaction # that I received from them in the 1st email was not valid!!??? WTH!! They went on to say they have no idea when they will fix this issue and suggested that I make another purchase, altho they said that they cannot guarantee that the same thing wont happen again!
I told them that I was too disgusted to bother and will take my business elsewhere, and to confirm that the transaction was cancelled. This was confimed by the CS rep. But two weeks later, I get an email from Kobo's customer service saying that they unsuccessfully tried to contact me about my help ticket! WTH!! It seems that Kobo's systems (both technical and departmental communications ) are all FXXKed up!
I give up on Kobo! And I havent bought anything from them for months, since the promo codes have all dried up. Sad, really.
