I think if you like fiddling over and over with settings, this might be a good app, but I just want to read and not spend hours saving theme after theme and just not finding what I want.  . Maybe too many choices aren't a good thing, or the choices that are there are not what I need.
I just don't like any of the preset themes, which are the same as they were on the old app. I don't have a dark theme. Just day, night and some pro's.

You can use any picture or solid color for a background as for font you can use any font you want. Just add it to a folder called fonts on your Kindle Fire. You can change margins in Visual Options. Not that much has change on the app but UI and options have been moved around.
The Dark theme is for the UI and can be found on the left slide out menu The Reader hasn't really change much but everything else has.
