I'm hoping today will be a quiet day in the store.
Yesterday I was supposed to work only half a day, until 2PM, so that I could get some things done I hadn't been able to do in the last couple of weeks. I can remember checking the time when a supplier left just after 1PM yesterday and when I checked the time next it was almost 4PM. So I worked the last couple of hours, too.
Today I was supposed to work all day, but it's been agreed I'll work until 2pm. That way I can still go by the bank, take a shower and have a nap before the family friend arrives to celebrate New Year's Eve with us.
Also, I still need to get a set of earplugs. The students next door used to have a New Year's Eve (after) party that lasted until 4 or 5AM. The last two years they didn't, but I know it will be tempting fate if I don't get earplugs.
