My Post Office has been having packages delivered at a different time than the regular mail so they should know to walk it up to the door if it won't fit in the mailbox.

By the way:
One of the things I didn't mention, in my previous post(s) here on this topic is that our "mailmen" are not, in fact, "mailmen" or "mailpersons" or whatever they are called. They are contractors. Apparently, this "no delivering to the door" issue is pretty widespread wherever the P.O. uses contract labor, rather than actual mail carriers.
FWIW. Gosh, I'd love to get those "no rush shipping" credits, (and use 'em for books), but I can't even risk THAT!
