Beta - Fix reported problems

Attached is an update beta to fix the three reported problems:

- Error if book has "[" or "]" in the name
- Error when running store manually in foreground
- Value written to db_prefs_backup json file

They seem to be OK from my testing. Please tell me if there are still any problems.
