You could also convert one of them to mobi and one of them to azw3. But mobi is an inferior format, so it probably would be better to edit the metadata of one of the copies (e.g. add an extra dash at the end of the title).
But yeah... again, why? Swipe from the bottom and you can flip through the book without losing your place, you can bookmark locations in the book by tapping the upper right corner of the screen, and there's the all-present "Go To" option next to "Aa" which is pretty much your TOC. Is it for the highlights, what? I don't get it.
