If I'm reading this correctly, it turns out that WP8.1 will share your wifi network credentials with your contacts, unless you opt-out.  
I understand what they're trying to do, but there's no way I want anyone else accessing my home network. I have a guest network set up for that. |
I'm pretty sure it works like sending contact info card you have to allow it. They couldn't just access your network without your permission.
