It's definitely not the way Windows
used to work. But my Windows experience is very limited with Vista and Windows 7 -- and non-existent with Windows 8.x -- so, since Gregg appears to be able to use Calibre and Sigil in Xubuntu, there's really not much more reason to keep this thread going that I can see. Sorry for yammering on and on about all this.
