Even though the two repts I talk to assure me I want not charge for the cancelled order. My Card issuer assured me that Amazon has charge me and already picked up the payment.

However someone at Amazon realized they did charge me and issue the refund back to my card!

So Merry Christmas to me. I am so relieved!
I will never cancel another order on that card if I can help it. I will go back to using gift cards on orders I am not sure about.
