Yes it's sad, even Powell's Bookstore just provides a link to the Kobo site to purchase an ereader. I just purchased a $99 Aura with a free sleepcover and free shipping from Chapters Indigo. This should satisfy my pursuit of Kobo devices for awhile. Now the wait begins again. I would prefer to walk into a local store and purchase but those days are in the past. Ahh fond memories of walking into a local Borders Bookstore or Best Buy store and purchasing a new ereader and gift cards

I'm not sure who gave up Kobo or US businesses.
