My suggestion for everyone who is requesting an SD image for a bricked/malfunctioning Reader is to buy a second SD card and put the image on that in case you ever need it and then all you have to do is swap SD cards and go from there. And as long as you have the unit open, I'd also suggest getting a larger capacity SD card. They aren't that expensive these days.
