If you create a dual-MOBI, you can reportedly email that to Amazon now. They will chop the dual-MOBI into MOBI and AZW3 sections, and send the appropriate one to your device, just like Kindle Store books that are uploaded as dual-MOBI.

BUT, the cover will not be downloaded for use in Cover View.
