Interesting thread. Mine is absolutely fine - bought June this year direct from Bookeen, never freezes - but my wife's (September this year from WHSmith) freezes a lot; as others have said, a simple reset does the job, but it shouldn't be necessary really, should it?

As an aside, are firmware updates really worth the effort? Never bothered with mine, and with the wife's at least we know how to resolve the issue...
