I don't care about tactile and sensuality of cookbooks (sensuality? Really? I can't recall my cookbooks ever providing that. I must be buying the wrong ones!) I buy the book versions because I don't own a Kobo H2O and don't want to risk my laptop or Kindle in the kitchen!
I have downloaded soap recipes onto my Kindle (because the Kindle books are MUCH cheaper) but I often write the recipe down and take it into the kitchen.
I have a few very nice glossy, color, print cookbooks. I don't take those in the kitchen either. Maybe those are the sensual ones. They were expensive and I'm a holy mess in the kitchen with flour, sauces, water and other ingredients flying about. When I make chocolate...oh never mind. You get the picture.
The one staple print cookbook I own that resides in the kitchen has more ingredients ON the pages then in the pages...it also has a slight burn mark on the cover too. Interestingly enough, my mom has the original version of this cookbook and hers has a HUGE burn mark across the cover!
