If I set the brightness to 24 the light seems ok. Yet If I read at night with a sidelamp with 10-14 setting the screen has a "glowing" effect which I find distracting. Is it supposed to be like that?
I also read that you should be able to read reasonably well in total darkness with the light set to 0. My screen is almost dark at 0 and I start to see something at 5-6. I'd say that reading begins to be reasonable at 8-11, but the screen is far from being white.
Is it the same for you?
This all sounds normal to me, for both my PW and Voyage. In a dark room, I generally start reading with the light at ~9, and then over time I decrease it to 5 or 6.
