VERY true.
Cats are affectionate and loyal, and a lot sweeter than anyone who doesn't live with a cat would ever know. Cats crave affection and love, and they repay it in full, many times over.
That is not to say they aren't arrogant, far from it. Just that they won't give you said affection without proof that you deserve it.
