All you do is use the 'connect to folder' option on the "Sharing" icon (the same place you start the content server or the Wireless DEVICE connection).

Currently Calibre Companion is the only software that uses WDC and the connection is only activated by user command, from the device.
Simply Arming WDC does not violate the 2 device rule.
