I'm such a newbie newb...
I saw the video and made assumptions that it had android already on it (excitement blindness of new device )
I did not install android, just the KoboRoot.tgz file, which did not invert the black and white. I tried several times, holding the light switch and holding the sliding power switch for 20-30 seconds at a time, only got the blinking light and a blank white screen. I used the paperclip and pushed the reset button several times, finally I sent it in, and got a response that they'll be replacing my "defective" unit
under the warranty.
When it gets here, I will make sure to go step by step, read and re-read before doing any mods. I really hope I can get the b/w inverted, at 1% brightness, it lights up the whole bedroom
