Huh... Unless koreader actually MODIFIES an ePub file as it reads it why on earth would it make ANY difference to Nickel if you read the same content via either koreader OR Nickel?
In fact I can see why people might like to see koreader display ePubs as found in the Kobo database. This way one could get the 'benefit' of the koreader in reading content in ePub format while continuing to use the shelves etc. defined in the Kobo database. I wouldn't want koreader to actually update the database, rather just read it to find ePub content and associated shelves.
