Unless the roll of film was shot on the moors of England amid a thick fog, there is nothing useful on the roll. There was not even frames to indicate where the film might have been exposed. Either it was too old and had lost all images or it was never exposed and the leader had somehow been rewound into the canister. As Marc had surmised, the film had been well outside the Westinghouse (or Frigidaire as we say in the US) as I found it in a box of old office supplies that I had cleared from my desk many years ago.
As I remember I was tired of the mess on the desk so I swept the entire top of it into a box with the intent of going through it later. It just turned out to be many years later. Based on the printed emails found in the box, I most likely cleared the deesk top sometime in early March of 2001. That would make it 7-1/2+ years at an average temperature of 68F/20C.
