"Li-Pol" is short for "Lithium Ion Polymer". In this case, I am pretty sure the only batteries you will find are Li-Poly (or LiPo). The meaning of this has actually changed over the last few years. Originally, it referred to a different chemistry. Now, it usually means the same chemistry as Li-Ion but in a different packaging. Effectively, "Li-Ion" is used for cylindrical cells with hard shells and Li-Poly for the flat cells with a soft casing.
