Gifting Kobo eBooks?

Is there a way to gift an eBook to a person with a Sony reader? I understand that Kobo picked up the Sony eBooks business, and the person has a Sony eBook reader (plus a Samsung Android tablet), so they are on Kobo now, but I could not figure out how to give them an eBook they want for Christmas. The Youtube video:

shows a Give as Gift button, but I actually cannot find that at all when I find the book, so I assume that is not working any longer. Shame really, looked pretty simple.

I went to a web site mentioned in another post:

http://www.kobobooks.com/gifting

But that seems to just refer me to the store, which again has no "Send as Gift" option, at least that I could find.
  1. Did Kobo take away the "Send as Gift" option?
  2. Is there any other way to do it?

I suppose I could give them a gift card, but it seems kind of impersonal, and I would rather give them an eBook than a printed book.

Suggestions?
