my kindle dx battery had recently died,replaced with a new one.but since then it had refused to start.The charging light would come on for 4 seconds and then go off.After a month when i simply plugged it in my laptop the charging light glowed continuously,i immediately connected it to apple charger and kept it overnight.at this time it was working,could open the books saved on it.
but when tried to wake up the device in the morning it was stuck,the charging light was green just before disconnecting the device,it refused to wake up.
I kept it connected to the charger while going out in the morning,when came home in the evening the screen was displaying something else,that means it did came back to life during the day.but i could not make it start.
later in the evening i decided to keep a watch on it,connected to the charger and sat before it for hours,the charging light was periodically coming on and off at something 10-20 second period. than it suddenly woke up with green charging light indicating full battery(the battery was charged fully the night before),i disconnected it from the mains and connected to my laptop and deleted all the content except one book.but when i ejected it from the laptop the green light went off and it was stuck at the screen indicating "USB Drive Mode".
the Battery is full,no issues with charging plug or connector.dont know what the problem is.
