Rather than Aura and PW for $198 I'd prefer Touch and Kindle for $98. I don't read in the dark and that seems to be the big plus of the PW and Aura.

I can't speak to the older versions of the Kindle, but he Kobo Touch is very much a step down in quality versus the new devices. Even ignoring the light (which you won't think you need until you try using it even in lit rooms
), the screen tech on it is slower, greyer and generally less clear. If you're not comparing it to something else probably not a big deal. If you have a 2nd better device you'll notice it. I can't remember your exact use plan and if it's just checking out things, not heavy use it's probably fine, but if it's for daily use I'd spend the extra.
