I'm still reading The Baby and the Bodyguard by Jules McBride. It doesn't seem to have the same flow as her other stories or the humor but I'm only on chapter 4 so I am hoping it clicks for me soon. I've been watching lots of Christmas movies and listening to Christmas music. I signed up for that 99 cents for 3 month for Spotify which is pretty cool. I wont keep it once the trial is over as it's too pricey but it's basically Netflix for music so lots of new Christmas music to listen to that Amazon Prime doesn't have or me. Imagine that.
I got my Fire Phone this week!
I paid $199+tax so once you discount the $99 for Prime I only paid $100 for it. Not bad for a top of the line phone eh? I love this little phone it's a very nice phablet. It does a little of everything. Battery life is excellent.
I did have to block Kindle books and audible on it though as the carousel is just like the Kindle Fire 2011 version where it displays everything not the last 30 items like the newer Kindle Fires do. It's easy to unblock but I use Moon+ or Mantano anyway. I only need to unblock for Audible when I use it. I am using it with Straight Talk which was easy to set up once I got the Sim card for it. The text rendering is just as good as Nexus 7. I haven't looked up the PPI yet but it's a great on the go eReader.
I didn't buy any books this week. I am hoping to score a really good coupon in the new Kobo contest there is a book I want. Oh! I won a contest. Yes me. It's only a $10 Amazon gift card but still I never win anything!
Mom is still in the hospital with a severe case of the flu and they just today started treating her for Pneumonia. Flu shots do nothing to protect you this season from the predominate strains so please take extra precautions.
