It appears that you have an epub in CC's folder that has bad metadata, in this instance a bad date with a month not between 1 and 12. Unfortunately I cannot tell you which book it is.
My guess is that at least some of the books in that folder were put there by a program other than CC. Because "Scan on connect" is turned on, CC is attempting to read the metadata and send it to calibre. Try turning off Scan on connect (Settings / Wireless device settings). I think that will prevent the exception. Unfortunately it will also silently prevent the book with the invalid metadata from being added to CC.
