I don't know if what I did actually solved anything at all, but the ghosting isn't nearly as bad now as it was. It's still there, but faint, so I can live with it. I asked the same question on this forum that you did, but no one else seemed to have the problem. So, long story short, I have no idea why it started, and no idea why it ended.
