Scarborough Fair and Other Stories by Nebula Award-winner Elizabeth Ann Scarborough (ISFDB, Wikipedia), an author I generally find enjoyable for her humorous light fantasies (she also did sf collabs with Anne McCaffrey which I haven't read).

This is a collection of her short stories, mostly fantasy but a few science fiction, and mostly humorous and with lots of cats in them, originally out in 2003. I bought this years ago from Fictionwise (at a much higher price) and mostly liked it when I read it, although it's very light in tone and generally fluffier than her actual novels, so YMMV if you wanted some more serious/representative-of-the-author's-style reads. But this is a really good sale price for a decent intro to a fairly good author.

Scarborough Fair and Other Stories includes “Introduction,” “The Mummies of the Motorway,” “Final Vows,” “Whirlwinds,” “Worse Than the Curse,” “Boon Companion,” “Long Time Coming Home” with Rick Reaser, “Mu Mao and the Court Oracle,” “Don’t Go Out in Holy Underwear or Victoria’s Secret or Space Panties!!!,” “The Invisible Woman’s Clever Disguise,” “A Rare Breed.”

These 11 delicious short stories from Nebula Award-winning author Elizabeth Ann Scarborough imaginatively blend science fiction, mystery, and humor.
