I'm still not dismissing the thought of learning to speed read and still retain the comprehension (like in reading emails). The only problem I've had with trying to speed read on a fantastic fiction book is when it's over, you want to re-read it again, because you feel as if you haven't completely enjoyed the whole premise of the book. It's like a delicious cake you ate for only a minute when you could have savored it for a time much longer than that.
