DuckieTigger, interestingly enough, Kobo will display DRM-free mobi, but it's not official and by most anecdotal reports it's poor.
Fortunately most sources of DRM-free e-books provide multiple formats. I do think, as a matter of principle, Kobo's mobi support should be a bit better though.
