@PeterT: Yes, I'm running Windows 7 (sorry I didn't think to mention that).
@BetterRed: No, I've only got "calibre 64bit" showing in Programs and Features. I believe I once had 32bit installed on this computer (recently had to redo windows and I can't recall when I switched over to 64bit. But there was a switchover -- perhaps a registry issue?)
I'll probably just uninstall/reinstall.
