That resulted in "naÏve" (Latin Capital I with Diaeresis) when the converted txt file was opened using Notepad, Notepad++ as well as MS Office Word 2007.
I have done a "find and replace" using Notepad++ to replace all of the Latin Capital I with Diaeresis with Latin Small I with Diaeresis in the converted txt file. Problem solved. Thanks for your help.

Not sure why they came through in all caps.
My tests all kept their original cases. All's well that ends well though, I guess!
