It REALLY vibrates a lot. But having it in a case does improve it. Even with the sound down at 50% or less you can still feel the sound vibrations. But I think most of my use with sound on will be when I am not holding it, so I don't think it will matter too much.

The sound is downright pitiful on the Air 1, particularly given the hefty price point. I guess with the Air 2 that's the best they could do in order to boost sound and continue to thin it out. I'll have to try a hands on one day.
